Authoring

Authoring Stereo Style

AUTHORING is the special preparation of the material (which will be placed on a VIDEO CD, DVD Video or Blu-ray disc) for subsequent production processes. This mainly involves combining video and audio streams. At this stage, too, any protection for the data located on the disc is included. Stereo Style processes material from all possible audio media provided by the client.

The company has its own studios equipped with specialized software for preparation:

  • iconographic materials,
  • digital special effects,
  • multichannel soundtracking of footage and musical accompaniment,
  • interactive menus (static or animated; create chapter titles and tags),
  • graphics that are an integral part of the film (layout for menus, windows with scene selection),

and also:

  • Up to 8 audio tracks can be accommodated.
  • Ability to include up to 32 tracks with subtitles in multiple languages, preparing one version of the DVD for several countries simultaneously.
  • Multi-camera shots – the use of video tracks from shots from different cameras that are displayed in parallel. This uses video tracks from shots from different cameras that are parallel on the disc itself.
  • If the movie has only one- or two-channel sound, we will make it sound anew in 5.1 surround sound.

The processing of the material also involves adjusting it to the size of the carrier on which it will be embossed. This stage consists of, among other things:

  • Image compression to MPEG format (MPEG2 for DVD and MPEG1 for VCD).
  • Multichannel sound – on request (from mono or stereo sound a 5.1 system is created).
  • Compression of audio into a variety of formats (e.g. DD, DTS, DTS-ES, LPCM).
  • Implementation of graphic design (animated or static menu).
  • Combination of all the elements jw as recommended by the customer.
  • Making a Master, conforming to the DVD Video specification.

We make every effort to make each of our products unique and pleasing to the eye, and the graphics prepared by us are an integral part of the film image.
